ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE CONSTITUTION COMMITTEE
We have completed our months of work and are ready to propose our model for:
A NEW AND IMPROVED UNIT 47
Highlights include:
A strong focus on Union Liaisons
They are the first line of defense for enforcing our contract and are the
key to the creation and maintenance of a culture or organizing and
mobilization. As such they will be payed a stipend $750/year or
more as determined by the executive board.
Officers to be required to work at the Hospital, and paid generous
but affordable stipends for their efforts

1st Vice-President
2nd Vice-President
Vice President for Communications and Technology $5,000
Treasurer
Vice President for Grievances
*to be shared among committee members
Better Communications, more training of Leadership, more accountability
Attached to this article is the proposed constitution and an announcement for a vote on
September 15, 2016. Between now and then, we will be talking about what these changes
are about and why we believe they will help us become a new and stronger Union.
