What is DACA/DAPA?
Immigrant families are under constant threat of deportation. The Deferred Action (DACA and DAPA) programs are federal immigration programs that allow qualifying undocumented immigrants to get temporary work permits and safety from deportation. They pose some potential relief to our undocumented community, and it is important that our community is educated on the requirements, application process, and how to apply. DACA and DAPA. For more info on DACA and DAPA see here.

Training Description:
Community organizations and nonprofits are key in helping immigrant communities to apply to Deferred Action. Come learn how you and your organization can build a "Community-led DACA/DAPA Implementation" program. Learn how to share relevant information with immigrant individuals and families on their rights even without immigration papers, and how to see if individuals qualify for protection from deportation through DACA and possibly DAPA. With a potential decision on the lawsuit against DAPA coming in the next few months, this training is a timely and excellent opportunity to learn how to do this important work.
