Update on Nurses' Health Study 3
As we mentioned in our last email, we have begun enrolling the new Nurses' Health Study 3, a cohort of nurses between ages 22 and 45 (born after January 1, 1965.)   Of course your participation in NHS2 will continue.
Thank you to all who have helped spread the word!  So far we have enrolled nearly 10,000 new members into NHS3; the majority of them coming from referrals from our NHS2 participant-ambassadors (that's you!)   We still have a long way to go to enroll 100,000+ young nurses, so anything you can do to encourage your younger colleagues to join is greatly appreciated.  To learn more, visit www.nhs3.org

WHAT CAN YOU DO?
To help us spread the word you can:
  • Encourage your younger colleagues to visit www.nhs3.org and join the study
  • Forward this email message
  • Print out information HERE about how to join the study
  • Reach out in other ways to nurses who might be willing to join.       For example:
    • Through nursing groups or organizations that you are involved with
    • In your online communities, like email lists or Facebook
    • Local or national media contacts you may have
    • If you are in a union, ask if they can help spread the word
Your encouragement will go a long way to help explain how a small commitment to a study like this is of extraordinary value for research into the causes of disease and the factors that promote healthy lives.

Thank you again for your 19 years of participation in the Nurses'
Health Study. We look forward to your continuing involvement in this
important research.
Sincerely,
Gary Chase
Senior Project Manager
Nurses' Health Study

P.S. A national radio program has asked if they could interview a couple of NHS participants next week.  If you would be interested, please email gchase@partners.org with the subject line 'Radio'.  We may not be able to acknowledge every reply, but we do thank you.  GC
