Union Updates: Clinical Ladder and Workplace Violence Committee

CLINICAL LADDER ALERT:   Please check if you are up to date for you 6 month and yearly reviews.  All departments have a list with dates.  If not up to date please contact your manager immediately; don’t let the chance to demonstrate your hard work go unnoticed.  Remember, part of professionalism is being responsible.

The current clinical ladders are designed to give you, the nurse, the opportunity to present your professionalism; not an arbitrary decision made by your manager.  It also allows you to be at the professional level you choose, and if you do not want to participate you will be at a level 1.

If you choose to participate, your responsibilities are to complete the clinical ladder throughout the year, know your anniversary date, and submit your ladder 2 weeks prior to your 6 month and yearly review and schedule to meet with your manager.  You can print the forms you need and your ladder under Lawson in the hospital intranet under departments/nursing/clinical ladders.   If you have questions ask your super user or manager.

We have requested this information from Danbury Hospital. Once reviewed we will reconvene the plan to train 6-8 members full y on how to ensure a WPV Prevention program here at Danbury Hospital and WCHN.
