Support our colleagues: Healthcare Workers Union Election

The Healthcare workers at Danbury and New Milford Hospitals have been granted another chance by the NLRB to have a Union Election to determine if they can be represented by a Union. They want to have a voice.

The last time they tried to form a union, the WCHN administration broke the law through intimidation, retaliation and making promises that never came to be.   Our colleagues have asked us to support them in their endeavor to form a union, to have a voice in the decisions that directly impact their work conditions, and their ability to give safe patient care.

The Executive Committee of the Danbury Nurses’ Union Unit #47 voted to strongly support these workers and ask each of you, our members, to do the same.   Show your support of these workers by wearing a button.

You can start wearing the buttons anytime you receive them. However we want a strong show of support next week during the election.

Let’s help them join with our voice, together we will be stronger.
